Opening The Vault

Tonight we are going to tape a few episodes of our 5th series to hit this season, Out of the Vault. It looks like we're cutting it really close to launch, but the first episode doesn't air until 8/27.

Our site gained weight!! We increased the width of our site and added a new affiliate ad from gay.com. Look for more changes on the site as we continue to grow.

With less than a week till launch we are gearing up to provide you with the best online GLBT shows.

Today we received a note from Brightcove, the company that serves our video as well as the advertisements on the videos. They offer pre-roll video ads to some of their clients who meet certain criteria. We believed we reached the criteria but were not receiving the advertisements. After over a month of communicated we were finally told that our content is too "wild-n-edgy" for national advertisers. FUCK YEAH!!! (flashing breasts in girls gone wild style) Our goal is to reach the largest gay/lesbian online audience possible and if it takes being wild-n-edgy then so be it.

Let this be a lesson to GLBT content providers considering Brightcove as your video service. Brightcove has an amazing video service that is very user friendly; but it is not the way for GLBT content providers to monetize their content.

Last night was Outfest closing night and we will have a video of that posted by the end of the week.

One Week To Go!

Only one week remaining until we officially launch our premiere season of OutliciousTV. Look for Dinah Diva on Outdishes next monday serving up some down home "cooking".

Over the weekend we cleaned up the site a little bit more. We still have some bugs to fix with the news and schedule pages but they are getting there. Our myspace now has our schedule through labor day posted.

Saturday, Starr Session visited the LA premiere of Starrbooty starring RuPaul. How many double-R words were in that sentence?!?!? Good times! Starr was an excellent sport as she was under the weather but dragged herself out of bed an to the streets of Hollywood. It was totally worth it. The video is now online.

Tonight is the closing night of Outfest and the premiere of Kiss The Bride. See you there!

Better Late Than Never!

Sorry for the delay in getting the blog posting up!

We are so excited! Our official launch is coming soon. Of course we have a few more obstacles to clear. For example, our camera equipment decided to go on strike last night!! Ahh!! We've found a few fixes and are trying them out but eventually the camera will die :-( RIP... don't buy Canon...

The good news is, most of our programming for the season has been shot, edited and programmed into our lineup!! Yay!!

This weekend we will be doing a lot of behind the scenes work getting ready for the launch. Patricia Villetto from "I Love Dick" has been spotted around town doing her comedy routine. Last night, she was was Mick and Mack's in Long Beach. She's there about once a month so check her out!!

Tonight, we will be attending "The Curiosity of Chance" at the Ford Amphitheatre as part of Outfest. We won't be covering the event though just watching it for fun!! Closing night of Outfest is July 23rd!

After the craziness of the past week (Outfest and other parties), it was very nice to take last night off and breathe. Well, we really didn't breathe but did get some editing done.

New on the site: Coverage from Starr Session's visit to the Hairspray party hosted by DIVA. While at the party, Starr bumped into Michael Ciriaco from I Love Dick and Outfest's Opening Night Red Carpet Special. We separated that interview and put it on our promotion tab.

Our launch party is July 31st. We are sooo excited to finally show you what we've been workin' our asses off for over the past few months!

Last night, Starr Session attended DIVA's pre-release party for the movie Hairspray. It was so fun. Lot's of crazy people to chat with. Footage should be up soon.

It's Our Legacy.

Last night, Jason Boegh attended the premiere of the first film remastered by the Outfest Legacy Project, Parting Glances. The movie was amazing! Four stars of the film were in attendance and were joined on a panel by the cinematographer and the head of the Outfest Legacy Project.

The Legacy Project is an amazing project that was set up to preserve GLBT films that define our legacy. Although Parting Glances is only 21 years, there were no viable prints available. The Legacy Project was able to make new prints from the original negatives as well as a new set of polyester negatives that will last for a couple of hundred years. A remasted DVD is currently being planned of the film.

If you missed Parting Glances, it will be shown in New York at Lincoln Center this Fall as part of a fundraiser for the Legacy Project.

On the red carpet, we spoke with 4 stars of the film including Steve Buscemi and Kathy Kinney. Footage will be up soon.

Tonight, Starr Session visits her old stomping ground, Eleven, to attend DIVA's Hairspray: The Movie party.

We'll be back at Outfest for closing night (7/23) at the Orpheum Theatre.

Wow! What a busy weekend! We are workin' full steam ahead on our Outfest coverage. Red carpet coverage, Outfest @ 25, DIVA's opening night party and an interview with The Curiosity of Chance are just a few of the things we added to OutliciousTV.com

We also launched a news page with news from reuters as well as various blogs of note. Well, the links are a coming soon. Reuters news delivers the world's top headlines that the American establishment media (CNN, FOX, MSNBC) doesn't cover. News stories are updated several times a day!

One more exciting thing, we are in the process of partnering up with Shaunboy.org to offer more of our content on their website. Shaunboy.org's main market is the United Kingdom, and it will be a great opportunity to reach out and expand our audience.

Tonight, Jason Boegh attends Outfest's Legacy Gala and the screening of Parting Glances. Parting Glances is one of the first films to be restored as part of the Outfest Legacy Project in conjunction with UCLA.

Workin' the Red Carpet

Last night was so much fun!! Starr Session and the OutliciousTV team went to DIVA's Outfest Kickoff Party at O-Bar! It was also Time Warp at O-Bar so the theme was 80's.

We met so many exciting filmmakers and actors all jonesing to show off their work over the next 11 days!! Of note: Casting Pearls, Gay Zombie and The Curiosity of Chance. The footage from the event should be up this weekend!!

Tonight, Michael Ciriaco (I Love Dick, Getting It Straight and No Match Found) puts on his reporters hat and will work the red carpet at the opening night gala for the 25th Annual Outfest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

If you're walkin' the carpet, come up and say "hey". Some of the scheduled guests tonight include Mayor Villaraigosa, Tori Spelling, RuPaul, Judith Light, Reichen, Channing Tatum, Bill Condon and more!! We are hoping to talk to all of these fabulous people. We'll have our coverage up over the weekend!

We had such a blast last night at the cast and crew party for LOGO's "Rick and Steve, The Happiest Gay Couple in The World". We interviewed so many amazing people involved with the show. We also got to chat with Michael Serrato and Nicol Paone from The Big Gay Sketch Show and Darryl Stevens from Noah's Arc.

OutliciousTV launches in just three weeks! We are very excited and can't wait to show you the shows we have in store for you.

Over the weekend we finished taping "I Love Dick!" a crazy sitcom-style comedy series set in the 1950's. It's like I Love Lucy but with same sex couples. We had such a blast making it and know you will have just as much fun watching it. Some production pictures are attached.

Getting Ready To Expand!

Lots of things happening in every department. We're gearing up for our coverage of Outfest, finishing up editing on flab2FAB!, and getting ready to shoot I Love Dick! this weekend. We haven't seen the sun in weeks!

We also ordered some promo postcards to start handing out as we get ready to launch. We found a fabulous place in Burbank called Gotprint.com to do the printing for us. They offer 5,000 full color glossy postcards for $99. That's awesome!!

We hope everyone had a nice Holiday and isn't too hungover today! Today feels like Monday, but it's a good things because tomorrow is Friday!

My has this year flown by! It is really hot here in Los Angeles and we're workin' up a sweat getting ready for our launch in just under 4 weeks!!

Our Outfest coverage starts next week and we are gearing up to bring you the best of the parties, celebrities and films.

We received our first check yesterday!! Woo! It's nice to see our hardwork starting to pay off. It wasn't much but certainly nice to see that we actually have some revenue potential. What's most fascinating is that we haven't officially launched yet!!!

Everyone have a happy independence day tomorrow and a belated happy Canada Day!! There will be no post tomorrow!

New Month, New Videos!

What a fabulous weekend! We have been ultra busy getting ready for production of I Love Dick! Over the weekend, we held a script reading with the cast (see picture above).
We have also added a new promo to OutliciousTV.com. Dinah Diva is cross promoting Tell Veronica.
Also, we added a very special report. By popular demand, we have released a special cut of our 2007 LA Pride Coverage of just the shirtless boys that we interviewed. The Shirtless Boys Special is under the news tab.
We are almost halfway through editing flab2FAB! Reality shows are rather crazy in the editing process because that is what usually makes or breaks the show.

Because of our ongoing connection problems, we made the switch to AT&T. They made an offer we couldn't refuse. The ironic thing is, the cable internet was back up and running at the same time the DSL line kicked in. I'm sure Time Warner Cable is a good company; however, they haven't handled their buyout of Adelphia well.
In other news, we had a great production meeting yesterday. Episodes of Out of the Vault were outlined and a shooting schedule was made for I Love Dick! Tomorrow we have a script reading of ILD.

We're hoping to keep the pace next month as we launch our pre-launch coverage of the 25th Annual Outfest Film Festival. We are very excited. Coverage starts July 9th with a clip from the producer of the movie Shelter!

Pre-production is in full swing for I Love Dick! The cute sitcom style comedy will start script readings this Saturday (June 30th) and will go into production the following weekend!

New today on OutliciousTV: flab2FAB! with Ronnie Kerr promo! Check it out.

We just finished editing and encoding the first episode of flab2FAB! It is scheduled to go live on August 1, 2007. Originally we only had 6 episodes of flab2FAB to present; however, after a thorough review of all of the excellent footage, we were able to split many of the episodes into two parts! More flab2FAB all summer.

In other news, our video plays have quadrupled since last month. OutliciousTV is just blowin' up all of the the place.

Over the weekend, we scoped out an exciting location up in the hills near Griffith Park to shoot "I Love Dick!" Our production date should be set by the end of the week.

One last update, we are in the early planning stages of hitting up the east coast in August for a little bi-coastal programming.

Today we looked at our visitor reports and boy are we worldwide. We have had visitors from 24 countries and more than half of the states. OutliciousTV is taking the world by storm. Thank you to everyone who visits us from these international destinations.
No production this weekend!! Yay for our production team! They deserve a much needed break. It also gives our editor some time to catch up. Last night we began editing episodes of Flab2Fab! with Ronnie Kerr. We're only a minute into the first episode and it looks hot!! We can't wait to show you all what Ronnie can do.

Our coverage of LA Pride has broken all of our previous records. Yesterday alone the video had over 900 plays! That's a ton considering we only had 790 plays the entire month of May. OutliciousTV is expanding and we're so happy to be adding all of these new viewers.

OMG, we totally forgot to post a blog yesterday. We were just so busy that it completely slipped out minds. So here's what we've been up to.
We've completed the editing and encoding of 6 of the nine episodes of Tell Veronica; loaded up the footage from last weekend's shoot, Flab2Fab! started formatting our episodes of Out of the Vault and finished up last minute casting of our newest show "I Love Dick!" Yes, a sixth show this season!! More details on "I Love Dick!" will be coming in the near future.

Just six weeks left until our official Launch!! We are working hard to get all of our programs ready on time. We are also starting to plan our launch party because no gay media channel could launch without a big party.
Our news team has been hard at work coming up with an attack plan for Outfest. There are 6 red carpet events over the eleven day festival. We are very excited. For more information on outfest including film guides and to buy tickets, visit www.outfest.org.
We made a change in the way videos load at OutliciousTV.com. We decided that the videos will now start playing automatically. We understand that there are those of you out there that are so indecisive and can not pick what video to watch. Well now you don't have to decide as the videos now play automatically. Three episodes of Tell Veronica are complete which brings Tell Veronica's programming up through August 14th.

Los Angeles Pride has come to a close and our OutliciousTV coverage of the festival should be up next Monday (June 18th). We had such a blast. The CSW PR staff was so friendly and organized. They truly made us feel welcome. OutliciousTV reporter Jason Boegh spoke with so many fabulous people at the festival and you'll get to meet most of them when we post our coverage.
Less than a week left before we start producing Flab2Fab with Ronnie Kerr. Everyone at OutliciousTV is so excited about that. Well everyone except our editor who is getting bogged down with footage from all of our shows and news stories. ;-)

Tell Veronica Is Coming

Almost everything is in place for the taping of Tell Veronica to commence this coming Sunday!! As you can see, our production crew is ready to step in at a moments notice to fill in for any position (including Veronica's it would seem) should there be any unfortunate accidents.
Over the weekend, we touched up some areas of the website including that blurry OutliciousTV news box that was all messed up. There are a few other areas as well. You can even access the official Outdishes website direct from our page. Just click on any of the Dinah Diva photos and the page will launch.

Eating Out @ Eleven

We had so much fun at the Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds DVD release party last night at the Eleven Restaurant & Bar in West Hollywood. Thanks go out to DIVA for hosting us and being so attentive to our needs!
This segment will air after our launch July 30th. We had amazing interviews with many members of the cast, crew and other party guests. Producer JD Disalvatore gave our news director/cameraman a great tip to prevent arm fatigue from holding the camera during long interviews.
Unfortunately, Starr was unable to get the movie's poster boy, Marco Dapper, to take off his shirt; therefore, she just posed infront of the movie poster! (see pic above and Brian's pic below).

Back on track! We're finalizing the details for both of our June shoots (Tell Veronica and Flab2Fab). Our website needs a little maintenance, too. The holiday weekend should cure that.

The Hostesses shows what happens when two worlds, old hollywood and young hollywood, collide in an offroad diner. Written by OutliciousTV's very own Tony Jerris and directed by Brian Michael Pelletier, this short premiered earlier this year at the Big Damn Film Festival in Minneapolis,MN. The production date is set for Flab2Fab! On June 16th we will begin taping episodes of our outrageous new fitness show starring personal trainer to the stars, Ronnie Kerr.

Last night's meeting was very production. The finished episodes of Outdishes were screened. Tell Veronica's guest list was finalized as well. There will be ten episodes of Tell Veronica which will carry us through the first week of October.

Editing is finished on a new promo spot for OutliciousTV news. The spot features our reporters Starr Session and Marc Escanuelas on assignment last week with Deadlee and the Weho Church respectively. The promo is set to hot tribal music from twistedtracks.com. Look for the promo along with a new tab on our control panel on Monday!

Outdishes is also out of post-production. All of the episodes have been uploaded and will be released weekly starting July 30, 2007.

Money Makes the World Go Around!

Unlike the Hilton family, money can get you anything you want. We are currently toying with the idea of releasing various episodes of our shows before the launch date for people to download to their iPods, Quicktime equipped computers or AppleTV. Of course this would be for a nominal charge. All of our programming will still be available to watch on our website for free. We're not 100% sure we are going to do this yet but we are open to suggestions.

Almost all of the Outdishes episodes have been completed. We're still hacking up the X-Mas special. There are two completely different version of our Christmas show. We'll probably release both for your enjoyment.

A Date With Veronica

A production date has been set to shoot the next series to premiere this Summer on OutliciousTV, Tell Veronica. Taping will begin June 3rd and we have already lined up a nice group of crazy, foxy, cool guests ready to tell all to Veronica.

Tell Veronica is a creation of writer and OutliciousTV creative executive Tony Jerris and is based off of his off-Broadway smash play of the same name. Veronica is played by Charlene Tilton of Dallas fame and the guests will include fictional characters as well as real life people.

One very special guest that can't wait to get her ass in Veronica's pink chair is Dinah Diva! Dinah is the star of the OutliciousTV show Outdishes. If you've been watching our preview teasers on our main site, then you already know Dinah's appearance on Tell Veronica is going to be off the hook.

Our site is in desperate need of some new stuff; however, our tech team has been busy cutting, encoding and uploading new episodes of Outdishes. There are only five more left in queue!

Speaking of website stuff... Yesterday, we've received our first visit from Moscow!

Keep On Truckin'

Wow, what a busy weekend! Besides the partaking of just a little too much alcohol, we were able to get a lot accomplished. Let's get to it!

Six episodes of Outdishes have been edited so far and their premieres have been scheduled. The first episode, Out of the Can, premieres July 30, 2007 at midnight pacific time (3:00am for those of you on the east coast).

A new promo/behind the scenes video is up on our main site www.outlicioustv.com. You'll see Outdishes creator Tony Jerris discuss his take on Outdishes. It's short but just another taste to keep you interested.

Sunday was a busy day. OutliciousTV reported Marc Escanuelas visted the Weho Church in West Hollywood, CA to find out of the "church for non-religious people" is all that it's cracked up to be and to have a discussion with Pastor Terry Brewer about the GLBT community and faith.

After that, the fabulous Starr Session interviewed openly gay hip-hop star Deadlee. It was totally fun and Deadlee was a delight to work with. Check out the little snapshot above to get a taste of what's to come.

Both of these interviews will air within the first two weeks of our launch at the end of July. Of course we'll be putting up teasers here and there.

Spreading Like A Wildfire

News about OutliciousTV is spreading like a wildfire. We're hot! Everyday, the average daily hits to our website and blog continue to grow. Our two short films as well as our Outdishes promo is continuously getting new views. And of course, we are constantly adding new friends to our MySpace.

About our Myspace page. Is anyone else having problems uploading video? We tried to put the new Outdishes Promo Video and it keeps disappearing. Hmmm...

We're also slightly picky when it comes to accepting friend requests on MySpace. In an effort to prevent spam and a truckload of annoying bulletins, we only accept friend requests from the following 1) real people, 2) organizations that we are interested in hearing the latest from, 3) bands (on the editor's whim). I'm sure that policy makes sense. When someone has 10,000 friends and sends a request to OutliciousTV, they are just looking to add to their numbers and will probably never visit OutliciousTV.

Alot of behind-the-scenes production stuff is happening. Plenty of editing.

No More Sleepy!

Things are off the hook here at OutliciousTV. We are moving full steam ahead towards our Summer launch. We just scored two interviews this Sunday. There go our producer's plans of drinking lots of cinco de mayo tequila and sleeping in. But it's all fabulous as we will be getting more exciting content to bring you this Summer.

We can't tell you who the reports are on yet but the interviewers will be Marc and Starr.

Our website is going to be tinkered with a little bit tonight. There seems to be a font issue at the bottom of the page. Eeeerrr. The Brightcove tabbed lineup player is fabulous but just a little wide for our tastes. We're going to test some ideas to solve this issue.

Check out our main site at www.outlicioustv.com to see our new layout which incorporates tabbed navigation at the top so you can surf between your favorite OutliciousTV shows. Right now we only have two tabs working but it will continue to grow until our launch this summer.
We are pleased to announce a new Dinah Diva preview video. It's short but makes a great little appetizer.
Our international audience continues to grow as we welcome visitors from Switzerland, the UK and Madrid, Spain.
We're currently putting together an Outdishes behind-the-scenes short to launch next week. Tell Veronica is moving out of development into pre-production while our new workout show takes it's place in development.
Our news department is working hard. Their hot new OutliciousTV shirts should arrive tomorrow.

Dinah Diva in the Can!

Yay! We are so F$%#ing excited to complete the taping of our first series, Outdishes. We had a blast and worked our butts off this weekend to complete fourteen episodes for your enjoyment this Summer. Watch for teasers and previews coming soon as we begin to hack through the footage. A special thank you to everyone that came out and helped make this a success (even Pepper).
We are in full swing getting our next shows ready to tape. Tell Veronica is next on our list. We are also in the final stages of setting a date with Ronnie Kerr to tape the fitness show. Ugghhh, we really need a title for it.

Rock Hard and Tight

OutliciousTV is pumped to announce that we have partnered up with fitness guru Ronnie Kerr (above) to produce a fitness reality show for our network. Ronnie Kerr is a fitness writer for HPM Magazine, and an ACE, NASM, NASM PES, APEX and AFAA certified personal trainer with a truckload of celebrity clients. Not only is Ronnie Kerr gifted physically, he is also a talented actor (appearing in two OutliciousTV shorts directed by Brian Michael Pelletier and countless movies and TV shows) and he is involved with animal rescue.

Watch for this new show this summer! Who knows, we may even have some surprise celebrity guests!

Last night's tech reheasal for Outdishes went great! You all have no idea what you are in for this Summer. As usual, no posts on the weekend. We'll be busy getting Outdishes together.

Just a few more days until we start shooting our first series, Outdishes - with Dinah Diva. Lots o'work to do!! Tonight we are having a tech reheasal to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. Like our new Outdishes logo?

On the website front, we fixed the coding that would open the main site in a new window from our welcome screen. Some pop-up blockers were preventing it from opening and in turn preventing the channel from loading properly on our page. Our site is no good without the channel.

Our news department is picking through leads and will start shooting some stories very shortly. Our awesome new Microphone flag came in. We should put a picture of it up soon. If any of you are in the market for a high-quality custom flag (you know those boxes on a broadcast microphone that display a station's name), contact Impact PBS. I'm sure you can find a cheaper flag than theirs but you get what you pay for.

On the programming side, we have just started to develop a new show that is going to get you pumped! More to come soon.

We're Live!

Yay!! Our website has gone live. (see the preview shot above, thanks Jared) If you came here through www.outlicioustv.com you probably noticed you now have two choices at our homepage: the blog (you are reading) or our site. We're going to keep the two choices up there for awhile until we have more content up and running on the channel. Something tells me there will be a fun little preview up next week.

If you notice an strange issues happening with the site, please contact us. We tried to test the site in as many browser types as possible but I'm sure there will still be issues somewhere.

In the coming weeks you will notice a more robust control panel as well as working links for our list of shows. That's it for now. Oh, a quick shout out to our first European visitor from Ipswich, England. TTFN!

The Diva Is Coming

We are pleased to announce our latest programming addition to the OutliciousTV lineup. Outdishes with Dinah Diva! Outdishes is far from your average run of the mill cooking show. Join Dinah Diva as she teaches you how to entertain in a blink of her painted eyes.
On the technical front, we are so close to launching our main site it's crazy. We're just trying to work out some compatibility problems between internet browsers as well as ad display issues. Fun stuff!
In addition to the countries noted on Friday, we would like to give a shout out to the person who stumbled upon us in Entre Rios, Argentina.
Production on Outdishes is slated to start on Sunday and we should have some teasers up for you soon after that. Have a happy Monday.
